Back in the USSA...or so we hear.

Yup, we were able to watch the Obama speech last night, and what a great speech. Our TV is supposed to get CNN but it was unintelligible because of snow and static. We logged onto Cspan live and heard the speech there. It was great.

We tried to get MSNBC online as well, but found that the feed (or whatever one calls the video that one gets over the internet.) was stop and go. I.e., "That was a stunning point, Tim........long pause....then whatever the less than stunning point was." We kind of miss Chris Matthews and Keith Olbermann, believe it or not.

However, it was wonderful to be in Mexico and see Obama get the nomination. I have hope.

On a calmer note, we listened to Hillary's speech as well. I guess I expected more good grace and teamwork, but instead I think someone should count the number of times she used the word "I"....well I guess it depends on whether that's "I" or the "Royal I".

Loving your blog. I want to go on this exact same trip. When we recover from the Venice holiday/bad US dollar...:-)
